Work to outdoor nets is underway

Much overdue works to improve our outdoor practise facilities have started this week. The outdoor net frameworks have been dismantled, ready to be overhauled and reassembled. The existing batting mats and the ballast bases have both been taken up and timber form work with steel reinforcement laid ready for concrete to go in to form new bases for the new batting non turf matting, which will be fitted sometime in mid March. The surrounds to the batting mats and bowlers end mats will then be tidied up with artificial grass matting and the net framework reassembled. Hopefully all will be finished in time for the start of pre-season outdoor practise.
