The U10's entered the Hailsham softball tournament today, winning 3 of 5 matches, we narrowly lost the last game which could of led to a 3 way tie in the group, meaning we came 3rd in the group.

Etiene, Casius and Alfie hit boundaries in every match inc 6's, regularly backed up by Stan, Zander and Dexter who all kept the runs flowing with smart hitting and the odd boundary , often finding the gaps and quick singles putting fielders under pressure.

Dexter was probably pick of the bowlers, though everyone bowled well, managing to bowl without extras for the first time in a match and but for slightly fortuitous NB's and dropped catches could of had 6 wickets, think he must of had new radar fitted over the winter! In the end finishing with 2 for 22 in the 5 matches, and also having a hand in 2 run outs of the 7 wickets we took, Alfie's palming one from a meter away onto the stumps from the throw in from Dexter the sharpest and smartest cricket of the day.

All the players have improved since last season, bowling more accurately, running better between the wickets and backing up just some of the skills on show today.

The team all played with a smile on their faces and had a great day so well done to you all!

A big thanks must also go to everyone of the Seaford coaches who have helped improve the U10's skills over the last months.
