New season now only 2 weeks away

Seaford's first match of the season is a friendly for our 1st XI, away to Eastbourne 1st XI at The Saffrons on Saturday 21 April 2018. The first home game at The Salts is on Saturday 28 April, our 1st XI taking on Hellingly 1st XI in the League T20 Cup whilst the 3rd XI have a friendly away to Blackboys and on the Sunday the Sunday XI travel to Alfriston..

Last weekend The Salts was waterlogged and any thought of playing cricket looked a distant possibility. What a difference a few dry and sunny days make as the outfield got its first cut today. Just need the weather to stay nice for a bit longer. Fingers crossed!

The refurbishment of the outdoor nets is coming along well. Great work by our outdoor net crew, the awful weather during January and February now unavoidably delaying the completion of the work. All being well the nets should be ready for the first outdoor training next Tuesday, if not, they will be ready for next Thursday. Still have a small area of matting to lay, the end of the framework to complete and of course the netting to go up. Always a fun job.
