Skipper Callum Hall and Liam Hornsby bowled Seaford to a thrilling victory with just over one over to spare.

Seaford were put into bat and opening pair Beau Mills-Bennison (40) and Rupert Anderson (23) went about building a solid base for victory as they put on 71 before they both fell. In came Callum Hall (51) to then take charge of the innings, with some excellent running between the wickets and sumptuous boundaries Seaford got themselves up to full batting points in their 37 overs.

Rottingdean came out of the blocks all guns blazing with Frankie Cripps blasting his way to 30 in no time at all. The introduction of the slow bowling put a brake on the run rate with Liam H getting the all important wicket of Cripps, cleaning him up with his first ball. After that Seaford's bowlers all produced tight spells including a maiden from Harvey Wootten. Wickets for Beau and two for debutante youngster Yusuf Ahmed. The real damage was done by Liam H and Callum H to force victory when it seemed Rott were going to hang on for the draw. All these wickets backed up by some fine ground fielding by all, a run out by Rupert A and a stumping from Jake Moore.

Credit to Seaford's skipper who made some crucial bowling changes to change the course of the game, its great when a plan comes together. Well done all now onto Pevensey to finish a very enjoyable week for all.
