Seaford started the U12s Sussex Junior Cricket Festival week in style with a thumping victory over Keymer and Hassocks U12s. The victory was set up by a fine maiden century from skipper Callum Hall. A boundary packed mature innings of 100 with shots all round the park which gave Seaford the opportunity to declare early. Callum was backed up by Liam Hornsby (33) and Beau Mills Bennison (11), a much improved batting display with all the team showing how practice improves areas, running between the wickets greatly improved from recent games. Well done all.
Seaford took wickets regularly, didn't let any batsmen settle with Ben Sargent top scoring with 21. In the wickets today were Rupert Anderson, Beau Mills- Bennison, Laurie Weisz, Harvey Wootten, Aaron Bashir and Cosmo Martin. The bowlers were superbly backed up by an excellent fielding display, all catches were taken and ground fielding much improved from earlier in the season. All those Friday nights with Seaford's excellent coaching team starting to pay dividends.
A great team performance led by skipper and MOM Callum Hall. This really sets up the team for the week ahead.
