After the many weeks of searing heat, the return of the blustery Salts kept the temperature back to comfortable levels.

Linden Park 4s were the visitors and on winning the toss elected to bat first on yet another "road", as Friday's rain did nothing to change what has been a runfest season.

Park got off to a good start with an opening partnership of 107 between A Corner (49) and A Price (64) before they both fell to Simon Pitts (2-39) both wickets definitely used the "pull out description bit in the scorebook". Two more half centuries from B Swinson (51no) and D Scott-Ham (60) pushed the final score onto 238-3 after their 40 overs. A good score but probably only about par this season at the Salts. Never thought I'd ever say 238 is par! Another difficult day for the bowlers.

Seaford's reply was hit by the early LBW of leading run scorer Rob Gravett (11) but this just brought Gavin Wright (73) to the crease to join Mark McCaughan (96) and they put together a season best partnership of 154. McCaughan ending just short of a century for the 2nd game running prompting questions of "jug avoiding". When he fell with 8 overs left Seaford still needed 8 an over, so Justin Squires (38) was pushed up the order and he duly delivered crashing the ball to all parts and took the score to 235-2 and with 8 balls left only 4 runs were needed. However Squires then fell to a great catch, Oscar Weisz was run out pushing for a quick single and along with a superb last over bowled by D

Stringer (2-42) it all fell to the last ball. Scores level, new batsman on strike, all fielders in close. all results still possible. A straight ball was fired in at the stumps and was missed by the batter and was clean bowled.

The game ended on a high scoring tie at 238 each, both teams taking home 20 points.
