Seaford 3s hosted Hadlow Down at the Salts on a new track, Stand in skipper Steve Hearsey kept up with tradition and lost the toss and Hadlow elected to bat first. This quickly looked a bad decision as Hadlow Down were soon at 20-3 with the ever improving Sam Mullett (2-22) picking up both openers. Once the openers had finished their spells, Mitch Ellingham (5-22) in his first outing this season proceeded to rip through the rest of the Hadlow Down line up. With no answer to him, the innings ended on 100 all out after 33 overs including a couple of late wickets from Ben Edmonds (2-8) whose figures didn't do him justice! Only S Rogers (30) closely followed by extras (27) made an impression on the score.

In reply Seaford got off to a great start with Martin Edmonds (44) with a needed return to form, and Owen Edmonds (23) all but finished the game as a contest. Just a few late wickets including changes to the LBW rule that takes away the hitting the bat first issue or hitting the wickets. Seaford finally knocked off the runs and took the comfortable win.

A much needed win for the 3s after the disaster of last week.
