Saturday saw the 4s travel to the picturesque Claremont School to play Crowhurst Park 4s.
After loosing another toss Seaford where asked to bat first. A tight spell from K Beale (3 for 24) meant the score moved slowly and by the end of his 7 overs Seaford where 3 down.
With Justin Squires (37) and George Hayden (14) at the crease the 4s were hopeful of still setting a decent total. But with George struggling with an injury in the upper leg hampering his running it was a Justin who tried to push the score on. However it was the exceptional spell from young Nicole Brown (5 for 32) who really did the damage with none of the Seaford bats having an answer to her tight seaming delivery’s eventually being bowled out for 127 in the 31st over.
This meant a 16 over session before tea. With early wickets for Steve Hearsey (3 for 40) and Simon Pitts (1 for 35) at tea Crowhurst Parkwere reduced to 32 for 4.
After a lovely tea the Seaford bowlers couldn’t seem to find the intensity of the first 16 overs and the experienced C Ayers (72*) and W Carvolth (24*) got Crowhurst Park home for the win.

Away to Mayfield next week the guys have to reflect that 127 was just not enough on a decent wicket.
